By accessing or using AfroArise, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. About AfroArise

AfroArise is a global online marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of Afro-inspired and global products, brands, and services.

We provide a platform but do not directly own or produce most items sold by vendors.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Have legal capacity to enter a contract

  • Provide accurate registration information

Minors may only use AfroArise under parental/legal guardian supervision.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to buy or sell on AfroArise.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and true information

  • Keep your login credentials secure

  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized account use

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

4. Marketplace Role

AfroArise:

  • Hosts independent sellers/vendors

  • Facilitates transactions and payment processing

  • Provides dispute resolution support

Sellers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of AfroArise.

We are not responsible for seller-provided information or product claims.

5. Orders & Payments

Buyers

By placing an order, you agree to:

  • Pay for purchased items

  • Provide accurate shipping information

  • Comply with our policies, including refunds & returns

Sellers

Sellers must:

  • Provide true product details

  • Ship orders on time

  • Comply with consumer protection laws

  • Meet AfroArise seller standards

Fraud or misrepresentation will result in account termination.

6. Pricing & Taxes

Product prices are set by sellers.
Taxes, customs duties, or import charges may apply and are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery timelines vary by seller and location.
Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders.

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return Policy.

EU consumers have a 14-day withdrawal right for eligible items.
U.S. consumers have marketplace refund protections.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on AfroArise—including logos, text, images, code, and trademarks—is owned by AfroArise or our licensors.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute content without permission.

Sellers retain rights to their own product content but grant AfroArise a license to display it.

10. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use AfroArise to:

  • Violate laws or intellectual property rights

  • Sell illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or unsafe products

  • Engage in fraud, spam, harassment, or data abuse

  • Circumvent platform fees or policies

We reserve the right to suspend or ban users violating these terms.

11. Marketplace Disputes

If an issue arises with a transaction:

  1. Contact the seller first

  2. If unresolved, contact AfroArise support

  3. AfroArise may intervene and make final resolution decisions

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfroArise is not liable for:

  • Third-party seller actions or products

  • Delivery delays or failures

  • Losses arising from misuse of our platform

Your use of AfroArise is at your own risk.

13. Data Privacy & Cookies

We respect your privacy and protect data under:

  • GDPR (Europe)

  • CCPA/CPRA (California)

  • US Federal & State privacy laws

14. Account Suspension & Termination

Continued use of AfroArise after updates means you accept the changes.

These Terms are governed by:

  • Laws of the United States (primary)

  • GDPR and EU consumer law protections for EU users

  • Applicable international trade & commerce laws

Disputes may be resolved via arbitration unless local law prohibits.
